Pittsburgh: Saturday
March 15th, 2008We arrived early today so that we could start working as soon as the pits opened to fix the problems that we had yesterday.During our first match (2nd match of the day) our robot performed spectacularly. We were within a fraction of a second from getting the bonus score that would win the match (see video below). However, despite this first success, are robot had a few difficulties later.

We weren’t picked for an alliance, however two other Erie-area teams (#291 CIA and #2544 HC-RT) were picked for an alliance, so we cheered them on. Despite being disappointed by the issues our robot had and not being picked, we did not let that ruin the fun. We danced, talked, and had fun with other teams while we watched the matches (video coming soon).
Then, the awards were presented. We received the Gracious Professionalism award for demonstrating gracious professionalism even when when nothing seemed to be going right with the robot. We were ecstatic over getting the award and it was a good way to end the competition.
