Get Involved

As with any organization, The Red Barons rely on your support to keep it running. There are several ways you can get involved. Even if you don’t think you can do anything that would help, you can.

Students

What would we be without the students? Nothing. You are why the club is here! As a student, you brainstorm ideas, create a design, and then make that design a reality. Our mentors are there to help you during this and teach you what they know. Also, as a student, you help teach the younger students in Lego League, and participate in fund-raisers and community events.

Interested? Come and join us at any of our meetings listed on the calendar. Or, if you are in a different area, find a team near you.

Parents

Parents are another very important group of people. Despite you transporting your child, paying fees, and making sure they get their homework done after robotics, believe it or not but there is still more that you can do to help us! Parents can participate in the Booster Club to manage fund-raisers and events. Without this group, we would not be able to go to very many competitions, if any. Parents can also become mentors (see Mentoring).

To participate, parents can come to any of the meetings.

Mentor

Mentors are generally people whose job is technology oriented and want to share their experience to help the students. They help guide students and supervise the entire build process to make sure that students are safe. Whether you’re a programmer, engineer, web designer, etc. we can use your help.

To become a mentor you can talk to our advisors at any of the meetings, or contact us.

Sponsor

Sponsors are our main source of funds. Without sponsors, we would not be able to afford any of the materials that we use, go on the trips to the competition, or anything else a robotics team needs to do. Any amount of donation is acceptable. As a sponsor you will be listed on our website and, if you donate enough, you will also be listed on our team t-shirts.
