Website Upgraded

Scheduled Site Downtime
April 1st, 2008The website will be down from ~9-10pm Saturday night for upgrading. The upgrade is for Wordpress (the software managing the website), after their release of version 2.5. This will be a major upgrade and will take about an hour to complete.
Michigan Pictures Posted
April 1st, 2008Some pictures from the Michigan Regional have been posted. Go check them out. Some videos will be added later when I have more time.

Michigan: Saturday
March 29th, 2008Today, the qualification rounds wrapped up. We competed in two matches and did well. However, when it came time to select alliances for the bracket matches, we were not picked. Read the rest of this entry »
Michigan: Friday
March 28th, 2008Today we competed four times today. Our robot performed really well. Our alliance won one or two of those matches. We hurdled and placed the ball on top of the rack multiple times, proving our robot’s capability. Read the rest of this entry »
Michigan: Thursday
March 27th, 2008Today we participated in the practice rounds at the competition in Michigan. Our robot did a decent job and scored some points. The main objective however, was to practice different methods of scoring.

Pittsburgh: Friday
March 14th, 2008Today we started out with out robot not working no matter what we seemed to do with it. Eventually at the end of the day we found condensation in the motors. Since they were electric motors, that was definitely the problem. So we replaced it and when we tested it after all the matches were done, it worked perfectly. Also we got all the scouting done. During the awards ceremony, we ended up getting the Website Award. So even though the day started out bad, we ended on a good note.
After we got back from the competition, we went to a party hosted by Team 291 CIA. We had a blast meeting other team members, eating, and doing fun activities (pop can pyramids, hackysack, guitar hero, etc.).
